Homelessness
Becoming homeless can happen to anyone, and 59% of Californians are no more than one paycheck from becoming unhoused. It is no secret that homeless populations are on the rise throughout Riverside County, in fact in 2019, there were nearly 3000 homeless individuals on our streets and in that same year, the homeless count in MoVal quadrupled to 165.
The ongoing pandemic and the economic crisis that it has brought has only exacerbated the issue. As District 1 City Council Person, I will push to establish a dedicated service agency specifically for the homeless.
